Project Summary

In partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, GanzAfrica is supporting the ministry to design an evidence-informed project management system as part of the ministry’s institutional strengthening initiatives. The rationale is to provide an automated system that allows the ministry to manage and track the performance of all projects in a timely and cost-effective manner. Currently, the ministry has many projects across the country but has challenges assessing their performance, budget expenditure, and outcomes as well as knowing how best to support each project in a timely fashion.

The system will be a centralized platform that directly connects field officers, project managers, the relevant ministry leaders and various implementing agencies to keep up to date with project implementation activities and progress performance against milestone indicators and budget disbursements. Consequently, this system will generate records of data and evidence, building systems where data can be easily retrieved, and analyzed to inform project implementation decisions. In the short term, the system will flag projects according to their performance, prompting leaders to timely implement course correction measures and keep project implementation on track.
